Delta Cast® - Range of low cement castable products (LCC)

  1. The Delta Cast® range of low cement castable products is based on low cement technology.
  2. The products will require the least possible addition of water to achieve optimum flow characteristics.
  3. Each individual product has an accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are of superior quality.
  4. The products are categorized according to the maximum temperature, which they can continuously be subjected to without damage to the product or its principal properties. This temperature range is typically between 1200°C and 2000°C.
  5. The raw materials on which the individual products are based, determines the important physical properties. The raw materials are mostly from the alumina-silicate group and include minerals such bauxite, andalusite, various clay based materials, sintered and fused corundums, and other fillers such as vermiculite, perlite, silicon carbide, zircon, graphite, chromite, green chrome oxide, and others.
  6. The products are available in 25kg paper or plastic bags, and packed on pallets of 1000kg or more. The bag size can be made to suit the needs of the client or the application, or it can be made available in bulk bags of 500, 750 or 1000 kg.

Delta Chem® - Range of chemically bonded products (CB)

  1. The Delta Chem® is a range of chemically bonded refractory products.
  2. Some of theses products are entirely cement free and contains no CaO. This results in products with exceptionally impressive physical and chemical properties, especially at high temperatures.
  3. Some products are supplied as a two-component system, and if prepared according to mixing and installation instructions, products are easy to install, and very forgiving with regards to curing and pre-heating.
  4. Each individual product has a very accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are tailor-made for very specific applications.
  5. The products are categorized according to the maximum service temperature, which they continuously can be subjected to without damage to the product or its principal properties. This temperature range is typically between 1600°C and 2000°C.
  6. The raw materials on which the individual products are based, determines the important physical properties. The raw materials are mostly from the alumina-silicate group and include minerals such bauxite, andalusite, sintered and fused corundums, and fillers such as, silicon carbide, graphite, green chrome oxide, and others.
  7. The products are available in 23-25kg paper or plastic bags, and packed on pallets of 1000kg or more. The chemical binder is supplied, in some cases separately in plastic bottles, one bottle per bag of material- all on the same pallet.

Delta Cover® - Range of insulating cover products

  1. The Delta Cover® range of insulating cover products is designed to be specifically applied onto liquid metals or alloys as an insulation cover, in order to prevent heat loss during treatment, handling, or teeming and to keep the ladle/furnace/tundish free from slag or scull formation.
  2. In order to achieve the least amount of temperature loss, the products are generally based on low-density raw materials with high melting temperatures.
  3. Each individual product has an accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are of superior quality.
  4. The products are categorized according to the maximum temperature, which they can continuously be subjected to without damage to the product or its principal properties. This temperature range is typically between 1500°C and 1800°C.
  5. The raw materials on which the individual products are based, determines the important physical properties. The raw materials are mostly from the alumina-silicate group and include minerals such amorphous silica, lime, doloma, magnesia, various clay based materials, and other fillers such as vermiculite, perlite, graphite, and others.
  6. The products are available in 5, 10, 20 or 25kg plastic bags, and packed on pallets of 250kg or more. The bag size can be made to suit the needs of the client or the application, or it can be made available in bulk bags of 100 or 500kg.

Delta Crete® - Range of conventional castable products (CC)

  1. The Delta Crete® is a range refractory castable products is based on the conventional hydraulically bonded refractory technology.
  2. These products are easy to prepare and install, and very forgiving with regards to curing and pre-heating.
  3. Each individual product has a very accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are tailor-made for very specific applications.
  4. The products are categorized according to the maximum service temperature, which they continuously can be subjected to without damage to the product or its principal properties. This temperature range is typically between 1000°C and 1800°C.

Delta Fiber Crete® - Range of composite castables

  1. The Delta Fiber Crete® is a range refractory composite products of stainless steel and ceramic matrix.
  2. The stainless steel needles provide the thermal shock resistance and the ceramic matrix acts as the binder system.
  3. The composition of the ceramic matrix and the grade of stainless steel can be adjusted for application.
  4. The maximum service temperature range is 1200°C.
  5. The additions to the ceramic matrix determines important physical properties, and we may incorporate minerals and materials such as spinel, tabular alumina, corundum, fused alumina, andalusite, SiC, zircon, zirconia, green chrome oxide, magnesia and others.
  6. These products are only supplied and sold as precast shapes. In order to make the precast, we require end user supplied drawings.

Delta Fill® - Range of tap hole filling materials

  1. The Delta Fill® range of tap hole filling products is designed to act as tap hole-filling agent, which must prevent any metal from entering and obstructing the tap hole.
  2. Applications include electric arc furnaces equipped with eccentric bottom tap holes, converters, as well as ladles.
  3. The products are based on a wide range raw materials, and normally supplied ready for use.
  4. In some case, the client will add some of his/her own additives on site to obtain some special and unique characteristics.
  5. Each individual product has an accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are of superior quality.
  6. The products are categorized according to the maximum service temperature. This temperature range is typically between 1800 and 2000°C.

Delta Floc® - Range of slag coagulant products

  1. The Delta Floc® range of products is designed for coagulating molten slag in ladles and furnaces.
  2. This makes for quick and total removal of all slag.
  3. The products are available as a dry, granular powder, ready for use.
  4. Each individual product has an accurately designed and controlled granulometry.
  5. The products are categorized according to the temperature at which they must coagulate the slag. This temperature range is typically between 1300°C and 1800°C.
  6. The products are available in 25kg paper or plastic bags, and packed on pallets of 1000kg or more.

Delta Flow® - Range of free flowing castable products

  1. The Delta Flow® range of free flowing castable products is based on special technology in order to make the products free flowing during installation.
  2. The products require no or only slight vibration and with the least possible addition of water, the products will flow into difficult to get areas and achieve maximum designed densities.
  3. Each individual product has an accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are of superior quality.

Delta Gun® - Range of gunning products

  1. The Delta Gun® range of refractory gunning products is designed for the maintenance of furnaces, ladles, and other industrial production units.
  2. These products are applied, either hot or cold, with special gunning equipment, which is available from Delta Refractories®.
  3. Each individual product has a very accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are tailor-made for very specific applications.
  4. The products are categorized according to the maximum service temperature, which they continuously can be subjected to without damage to the product or its principal properties. This temperature range is typically between 1000°C and 1800°C.

Delta Melt® - Range of slag viscosity modifying products

  1. The Delta Melt® range of slag viscosity modifying products is designed to liquefy frozen or cold slag.
  2. The products are based on a wide range of raw materials, and normally supplied ready for use.
  3. In some cases, the client will add some of his/her own additives on site to obtain some special and unique characteristics.
  4. The products are normally manually added as a dry additive to the slag.
  5. Each individual product has an accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are of superior quality.
  6. The products are categorized according to the temperature at which it will melt and be functional. This temperature range is typically between 900°C and 1800°C.
  7. The products are available in 25kg plastic bags, and packed on pallets of 1000kg or more.
  8. The bag size can be made to suit the needs of the client or the application, and it can be made available in bulk bags of 500, 750 or 1000 kg.

Delta Plast® - Range of plastering products

  1. The Delta Plast® range of refractory plastering products is designed to be plastered or trowelled and is especially designed for repair work to worn refractory linings.
  2. The products are designed to require the least possible addition of water to achieve optimum handling characteristics.

Delta Pump® - Range of pumpable grouting products

  1. The Delta Pump® range of pumpable refractory products is designed for conveyance between the mixer and the point of installation along a pipe, which is connected to either a squeeze or piston pump. This makes for quick and easy installation of big volumes of castables.. Some products have a very fines particle size which makes it ideal to be pumped into gaps behind the steel shell and the refractory lining or cooler plates/staves.
  2. The products require the least possible addition of water to achieve optimum pump and flow characteristics.Some products are water free and based on resin/chemical binders.

Delta Ram® - Range of ramming products

  1. The Delta Ram® range of refractory ramming products is based acid or basic raw materials, and is normally supplied pre-wetted with all the binders mixed in, ready for use.
  2. In some case, the binder or wetting agent is supplied by the end user and mixed into the material just before installation.
  3. The ramming products are rammed into position with the aid of pneumatic or manual ramming tools.
  4. Each individual product has an accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are of superior quality.
  5. The products are categorized according to the maximum service temperature, which they can continuously be subjected to without damage to the product or its principal properties. This temperature range is typically between 1700°C and 2000°C.
  6. The raw materials on which the individual products are based, determines the important physical properties. The raw materials are mostly from the magnesia, chromite, carbon, alumina-silicate group and include minerals such bauxite, andalusite, various clay based materials, sintered and fused corundums, and other fillers such as, silicon carbide, zircon, graphite, green chrome oxide, and others.
  7. The products are available in 25kg plastic bags or buckets, and packed on pallets of 1000kg or more.

Delta Set® - Range of mortar products

  1. The Delta Set® range of refractory mortar products is based on acid as well as basic raw materials.
  2. The range includes both heat and air set variations.
  3. The products are available as a dry mortar powder which need to mixed with water before use, or as a pre-mixed, ready for use, mortar in a bucket.
  4. The products are designed to require the least possible addition of water to achieve optimum physical and handling characteristics.
  5. Each individual product has an accurately designed and controlled granulometry and the chemical and physical properties of each individually product are of superior quality.

  1. The Delta Thermo Cover® range of ceramic paint products is designed to protect steel against decarburisation at high temperatures.
  2. The products are available as dry powders, which need to mixed with water before use, or as a pre-mixed, ready for use, paint in a bucket.
  3. The products are categorized according to the maximum temperature at which they designed to be subjected to. This temperature range is typically between 900°C and 1800°C.
